The Plyo Leg Workout You Can Do in Your Dorm

By October 3, 2016Move, Workouts

No gym, no problem. Try this quick, no-equipment plyo workout that will make your legs scream (in a good way, I promise).

Time: 20 minutes

Type of Workout: Plyometric/cardio

Sh*t You Need: 1 box (or any other raised surface you can find) for box jumps. Other than that, you just need some #motivation.

Intensity: High

Body Target: Legs/lower body power

Perks: Quick, efficient, no equipment needed

The Workout:

Complete 4 rounds of the following circuit. Perform each exercise for 45 seconds and then rest 15 seconds. Continue immediately to the next exercise until you complete all 5.

Box Jumps (use something in your dorm, like a step-stool or sturdy storage box)
Lateral Hops
Jumping switch lunges
Broad jumps
Jump squats

Notes:

– You can modify the workout depending on how you feel. Too easy? Decrease rest time and increase working time. To difficult? Increase rest time and decrease working time.

– You can take the jump out of switch lunges and jump squats for a more low-impact option.

– Don’t forget to have fun. At the very least, you’ll be proud at the end :).
