The Perfect Banana Pancakes Recipe for Breakfast (or dessert)

Let me get one thing straight…I love love LOVE food. And I especially love food that is healthy and tastes good, too. Because lets be honest: not all healthy food tastes great. So when I find something that is both healthy and delicious, I can’t help but to share.

Now, I can’t take full credit of this recipe. I owe it all to my cousin, who is just as big of a health fanatic as I am. She and I are always sharing healthy food recipes, experimenting with different stuff in the kitchen.

So here it is: a recipe for some healthy pancakes. I mean seriously, who doesn’t love breakfast? It’s one of those meals that you can have for all 3 (or 4) meals a day (AND these would totally work for dessert, too).

Banana Oat Chocolate Chip Pancakes

Ingredients: pancakes

  • 2 eggs
  • ½ scoop protein vanilla whey powder
  • ¼ – 1/3 cup oats
  • 1 ½ small banana
  • 1 T gluten free flour (like coconut flour)
  • 2 T dairy free milk 
  • Cinnamon 
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Chocolate chips (I love using Lily’s brand; they are vegan, and sweetened with erythritol and stevia! but any could be used)


Once you have all your ingredients, it’s so simple. Put all of your ingredients into a blender and blend until combined. Then all you have to do next is pour or scoop. I like using ¼ of a cup measuring cup to transfer onto a hot skillet. In the skillet, to prevent from sticking, use either coconut oil or grape seed oil. Once they are done, you can cut up some extra banana and walnuts on the side for some added deliciousness.
